Beauty Haul

Hi I know I havent updated for a while I have been pretty busy with work and moving house, and also because I have moved I didnt really have much money to go shopping =[ so I thought I will just wait and show you some nice stuff I have got instead. I will be doing another post soon on some samples I was sent a while back, I have used all of them now so I will just do a couple of posts on them.
Anyway I went a bit mad on getting my 'essentials' I ended up getting more than I really needed, but we all need to splurge sometimes!

First up I got some more Liz Earle Hot cloth cleanser, toner and moisturiser as mine ran out last month and honestly my skin has not been the same since using other products, I really think its the best! At the moment if you buy these together on the website you get free delivery and also the botanical shine shampoo and conditioner free too! Altogether this costs £41.00  Here is the link -
http://uk.lizearle.com/skin-essentials-regime?_s_icmp=home_PB

So I am waiting for these to come in the post, I will let you know soon what the shampoo and conditioner are like as I havent tried these before.

I also needed some more YSL touche eclat which I have been using every single day with my make up for the last year and again it has been hard not having it as I get really bad black circles sometimes and just general marks which this really does help. It does not work as a concealer which many people assume, it is a highlighter, but what it does, for me anyway, is it reflects light away from the darkened areas so instead of looking dark its shining light there and so I suppose works as a mirage.
Touche Eclat retails for around £25.00 depending on where you go, this was £22.50 from House of Fraser.
I got the 20th anniversary edition, the only difference is the casing has a tiger pattern type gold printing all over it and it only comes in shade 1, thats the one I use anyway because I have fair skin.

Next I needed some eye and foundation primer. I had a few sample sizes of the urban decay primer in different shadow boxes I have bought and these lasted a little while but now all gone so I thought I need to get the full size one. I have only tried stay dont stray by Benefit before (other than the UD one) and I really dont like it, have just been using it lately as I had no choice. Its so sticky and thick and you always get too much come out of the pump than you need. I am glad I now have the UD one, once more. I find that the consistency works best with shadow, its thin and smooth on the eye and brings the pigment out of the colour more. It also holds my eyeliner in place most of the day. This cost £13.05 from House of Fraser.
And the foundation primer I usually use that had also run out is the Mac prep+prime face, but this time I opted for the Laura Mercier foundation primer just to see if there is much difference between primers. I havent tried it yet as it arrived this morning but I will let you know. I went for this one as I have the Laura Mercier setting powder and I really love it so I am assuming that this should be a good 'un. This was £25.20 from House of Fraser.
In my last glossybox that was really, pretty rubbish tbh, I had 3 miniture samples of agent provocateur perfumes and I really loved the Maitresse one and used it all up so I got the 50ml EAU de parfum as its such a lovely scent and I know I will wear it all the time, its gorgeous.
£44.10 from House of Fraser.

I also had a free gift with it which was a random pair of black frilly knickers - one size fits all. The bag was nice that they came in too! The knickers look like the ones on the bag just in black.
I had another free gift with my purchases from House of Fraser which was this Biba lip pallette, I have tried two today and they are nice I would say they would be good glosses to put over other lipsticks. The packaging is really nice with the Biba logo on the front. This retails for £24.00.

And finally I have 2 Mac Lipsticks in shades I have wanted for ages, I already have a few MAC lipsticks and I just love the smell of them and the colour always lasts.
The first one I got was Creme Cup - I already have a few neutral shades and this was just the one that everyone goes on about so thought I would try it and see what the difference is between this and the others I have. And the second lipstick I got was Russian Red, I actually really love my Barry M red lipstick but I wanted a more blue toned red and this seems to be the perfect red to me.
Mac lipsticks were £14.00 each.

I might do a lipstick collection post soon as I dont really have a lot but I think I have a nice little core collection and not having loads means it wont take too long to talk about each one.
I have a few other bits and bobs coming so I will update when they arrive.

ASOS wishlist June 2012

I have found some really cute items this month that I hope to purchase (payday is coming up!)

Here are some of the super cute products they have at the moment (there seems to be quite alot of animal themed items right now)

I absolutly love these watches, I have been looking for one that I really like for a while and I think I may have to get one of these ones!

I reall like the colour on this bag, I think it would look lovely with nice blue colours like the top above and these cornflower blue jeans! You could only get away with these jeans in the summer I think, they look really soft too!

I think this dress would look lovely at a festival (thinking Sienna Miller), with some wellies and raybans, also it would be great to wear for parties in the summer or BBQ's with a pair of flat sandals or heels, so its a nice versatile item! I also really like the necklace, def a festival item!!!

I hope you enjoyed my wishlist, let me know what you think!

Style Icon: 4 - Ali Macgraw

Ali Macgraw was such a natural beauty, she was a big fashion and beauty icon in the 70s and you can see why! She had a natural, boho look. She was most famous for starring in 'Love story' and 'The getaway' but she was also featured heavily in fashion magazines at the time.

She was obviously very much for her time, with the flower power/ woodstock generation.

Primark Haul June 2012

Hi, I did this haul 2 weeks ago so technically it is a May haul but I have only just had time to post it so its now a June haul =]

I mainly bought Pjs for the summer evenings as it has been so hot recently, and a few pretty blouses and a dress! They had so much I had to force myself to put alot of it back, I was lucky enough to have the BF around to carry my huge bag for me hehe! I am going to show you the main bits I got, I also bought some plain underwear, plain tshirt bras and socks but they arent that exciting so I have missed them out! But incase you were wondering the underwear was £1 each, socks were £2.50 for a pack of 5, and the bra's were in a double set 2 for £8.00 and another 2 pack I got were 2 for £6.00. They were just simple white, black and nude colour bras.

So here is what I picked up:

Pink heart pattern dress - £13.00
This dress didn't come with a belt, I added that myself. It is such a pretty colour, like a milkshake pink. I have worn this now twice and it just makes me feel so girly. It is made with a light material so it feels really nice to wear when it is hot and even if it isnt hot you can just chuck a cardi or as I have been doing, a simple black blazer over the top.

Scalloped collar blouse - £8.00
I love this blouse, it is so cute, I wore this out last week for an afternoon lunch in the sun and its so light an airy and such a pretty colour! Can team this with denim shorts or jeans, it is sheer so don't forget if you don't already have any you will need a vest or cami to go underneath these sheer blouses.

Floral black and white blouse -£12.00
Again a very pretty blouse, they have alot of these types of sleeveless, sheer blouses in at the moment, I really likes this one and thought it stood out more. It was a bit more expensive that they usually are but totally worth it!

Mint green, faux-snakeskin bag - £6.00
I know this has been seen on alot of bloggers sites/youtube, but I absolutly adore it. Such a pretty colour and also there is quite a lot of room inside even though it looks like a small bag. I took this out with me last weekend when I went out for my birthday in Cardiff and it looked so nice with my cream dress and mint green shoes. It really is worth the £6.00 pricetag!

Band tee, Courtney Love/Hole pattern - £8.00
Some people love her and others hate her, I have been a fan of Hole's music since I was a teenager and so I obviously love this tshirt! If you don't already know Courtney Love is the lead singer of her band Hole and she was also married to Kurt Cobain (this is why some people hate her). I will be wearing this with denim shorts and my wellies at Reading festival this year! Also I think it is very fitting as the 90s and the grunge look is all very on trend right now!

Gold collar - £4.00
This is ok, I am going to look for a better one as it is a bit TOO large for my liking, but it looks ok on. I would reccomend looking for a different one to this unless you have a large neck!

Grey pleated jersey skirt - £12.00
This picture doesn't really give it justice, but when it is on it just hangs very beautifully. Its comfy to wear and is great for this time of year! I can imagine I will be able to dress this for the winter too so definatley worth getting!

Next are some Pj's and 2 bra's, I thought I would show you these ones just because they are quite pretty and very summery! Sorry again about the darkness of some of these pictures, it is the best I can do right now but at least you can kind of get the idea from these ones!-

Mint bra and yellow polka dot bra, both come as a set with the underwear included - £4.00 each
Pj shorties - £3.00 each -

Banana Pj bottoms (sorry they are a bit creased from the bag) -£5.00
White Pj bottoms (again creased from the bag) -£5.00

I am hopefully going to be doing another haul at the end of this month! I am moving house though so I might not be able to afford a shopping trip, I might pick up a few things though!

Thanks for reading!!! =]

Cute as a button jewellery

I have been very lucky to have some jewellery sent to me by the lovely lady, Simone at cute as a button jewellery! All her stuff is hand made by her and has been running since 2010!

I was sent two items, a lovely bow neclace and a pair of union jack button studs - obviously very now, with the jubilee and the olympics coming up everyone is feeling very british at the moment =]

The cameo bow neclace £6.00 -

I wore this to work and got complimented a few times by a couple of different people, it is just so cute! As you can see from the picture it is a reasonable size and the chain is a nice collar sort of length so it does hang a bit like you are wearing a bow tie which I think is perfect!

Union jack button stud earrings £2.00 -

As I said earlier these are perfect at the moment with all things british being very on trend! I shall be wearing these friday for the jubilee celebrations! They are great if you want to just add a bit of union jack to your outfit instead of going all out! As you can see from the picture they are a lovely size not too small or too big for your ear lobe.

Glossybox May 2012 1st birthday edition

I got my very first Glossybox on Wednesday and it was their anniversary edition which was awesome for me as it was also my birthday so I share my birthday with Glossybox !!! They are celebrating their success with their very first birthday!
It so exciting getting a box and not knowing whats going to be inside, and its was packaged really well and looks so pretty. I still cannot find my charger for my decent camera ;( so I may have to buy a new one which sucks, so for now I am afraid I can only take photos with my phone so I tried my best to get the best pictues I could to show you all what I had.

Here is what I had inside my box!

Eldora false lashes
Perfume samples from Lolita Lempicka

Shower and bath gel by Noble Isle
Collection 2000 eyeliner gel in Gold

Neals yard rehydrating rose daily moisture cream
I have tried the moisture cream and it smells vey pretty, I don't think it really did much for my skin as it didn't really sink in very well on my particular skin and so it felt too oily for me but I will use it again when it gets colder and I am prone to get more dry skin on my face because I think it will benefit me more then.

I have also tried the shower gel which smells really really nice! I want to try it in the bath next to see what its like then but I was very happy with that.

I also tried the perfume samples, they both smell nice, the purple one is more a floral scent and the white one has a sweeter smell to it. The only thing I found was they wore off quite quickly when I wore them to work but because the scent is quite light it makes for nice perfume for the daytime so its just a case of re=spraying later in the afternoon.

I am already looking forward to the next box for June!

Thanks for reading!!!
